Fat Lip 350z

This 350z is among the creme of the crop of stanced Z33's. Many people (that aren't in the stance scene) are considering Z's as "today's Honda Civic" and even being "a dime-a-dozen." However, I personally believe that there aren't many cars that look better than this slammed Z33 rocking a set of fat-lip Work DH wheels. When first seeing this Z, you might think he's bagged....but boy are you wrong. This Z is STATIC on the popular Stance GR+ coilovers.

The back of this Z33 will give Kim Kardashian a run for her money...The Stillen roof spoiler adds a very nice touch to the wingless rear. Now all it needs is a wide load sticker....

You can't go wrong with the badgeless Aerosync N-Style front bumper.

GOT LIP?

Two more images of this properly-fitted Z33 to burn into your mind:

Black Sheep

For are you "HellaFlush" haters, this G35 is your black sheep of the stance scene. Why is that, you might  ask? Because this G doesn't need stretched tires and negative camber to pull off an aggressive stance. Kevin Pierce has dialed in his D2 Racing coilovers perfectly...his car key can barely fit between his tire and fender! Did I mention that his fenders are still perfect?

This is by far one of the most immaculate G35's that I've ever seen. When people say that they "baby" their vehicles...Kevin takes it to an entirely new level. If the forecast predicts rain, don't count on spotting this G35 cruising around. Major props to Kevin for taking such outstanding care of his black beauty.

You might be wondering what wheels this G is rockin'...they are 19x9.5 & 19x10.5 Work Euroline XR, in a custom powedercoated copper vein hammer tone finish. I think it's safe to say that his  INGs+1 sideskirts and OEM front lip don't like speedbumps, considering that he has to use wood planks just to pull into his garage.

I see you checkin' out the rear.....kinda hard not to isn't it? The unique  Strafe Speed carbon fiber trunk accents the Seibon CF hood, and makes this G's rear nice and curvy. The MotorDyne Shockwave v2 exhaust combined with Megan Racing long-tube headers and Kinetix SSV plenum makes this beauty roar like a beast.

The front of this G is equipped with carbon fiber 3M Di-Noc headlights....something that Kevin Pierce did himself to set his car even farther away from the pack. This G35 may be a black sheep to the stance scene, but will prove to be extremely hard to outdo.

Welcome to STATIC

After browsing around the site, you've probably become aware of the meaning of static. We will be featuring static cars from mild to wild...but not many will top Abbitt Wilkerson's 2004 STi. Some of you might be familiar with his name or popular AWFILM videos. His Subie has been through several wheel setups under his ownership, and will be undergoing even more changes this Winter.

This white on white setup is just speechless:

What happens when you ride static at this height?

Fenders split and front lips get scraped.

Did I mention he is only 18 years old? I know from personal experience what it's like to be a "youngin'" in the stance scene. People may hate because he is still in high school...only because they are jealous because he is  more baller than themselves.

Abbitt is no stranger to the fitment game and represents the Bay like no-other. We wish him luck with both his Subie and AWFILMS. Be sure to check his site out at  vimeo.com/abbittwilkerson

Round 1

Rather than doing a feature on a single car, I'm going to post cars that provide you with examples of what STATIC is all about.

As you can see, not all STATIC cars have stretched tires and excessive camber. But they all share a common factor...They do it on coils. All the cars above are very clean and well-kept. Unfortunately, STATIC does not always work like that.

In the STATIC world....some are fortunate enough to dial in their setups great enough to avoid aesthetic damage. However, fender damage is often inevitable.

*UNDER CONSTRUCTION*

Just wanted to let everyone know that the site is still under construction. The site should be 100% complete within the next day or so. In the mean time, check out these cars:

STATIC

Welcome to STATIC!

You might be wondering why the term "static" is being used for an automotive website. No surprise there. People in the stanced scene refer to the term Static when describing a car that is low (on coilovers), has aggressive-fitting wheels, and drives the car at that height on a regular basis. Often I come across cars that are extremely low and flush, but on bags. Not knocking the way it looks, but there's a soft spot in my heart for those who do it on coils. Those who aren't afraid to scrape up their glossy front lip and hear the beautiful sound of your frame brushing the asphalt- Welcome to STATIC.

The mission for STATIC is to NOT be the cookie-cutter stance blog. I will personally do whatever it takes to feature a wide variety of vehicles, ranging from slammed 350z's with negative offset wheels & stretched tires to lowered GTO's with aggressive fitting wheels with meaty tires.
